Community Epilepsy Services has been formed to provide advice and support to people who live or work with epilepsy and to organisations that come into contact with people affected by epilepsy.
Reduced government funding for specialist nurses may mean a reduction in specialist epilepsy services available through the NHS. Community Epilepsy Services has a vision to provide epilepsy services in the community offering professional support, training and patient care.
The service is unique, easily accessible and completely portable. Our specialised services can help medical and other professionals provide the highest level of care and support to people with epilepsy. We can also make an invaluable contribution to the ongoing care of clients and families living with seizure disorders.

Jan Bagshaw is a epilepsy specialist nurse with a wealth of experience in all aspects of epilepsy care. She recently held a radio phone-in on behalf of Epilepsy Action (covering Epilepsy and Women) which can be heard at: www.epilepsy.org.uk/campaigns/nationalepilepsyweek
